Il-ġeneru
Fid-dinja anglofona sar komuni li l-isem tal-professjonijiet ma jinbidilx mal-ġeneru, pereżempju actress ma tantx għadha tintuża. Taħsbu li din għandha tkun il-pulitka tagħna wkoll? Biex ngħid il-verità jien insibha diffiċli ngħid kittieb għal mara.
Jekk ma nagħmlux hekk ħa jkun hemm problema teknika fl-infoboxes ta' wikidata. Il-Franċiżi qishom qegħdin jużawha din is-sistema u għandhom l-istess problem. ma nafx kif solvewha.
—Leli Forte (d) 20:18, 30 Jannar 2021 (UTC)
- @Leli Forte: Dan punt importanti u fl-istess ħin interessanti. Fl-Ingliż diġà daħlet f'Malta. Riċentament fit-Times of Malta kien hemm artiklu dwar attriċi li rreferew għaliha dejjem bħala actor u qatt bħala actress. Hemm soluzzjonijiet oħra vis-a-vis Wikidata fejn il-varjant għall-ġeneru jew anke l-plural huma indirizzati fid-database stess. Personalment għadni ma nafx bizzejjed dwar Wikidata biex nitkellem aktar dwar kif taħdem eżatt din is-soluzzjoni. Nevborg, EnriqueTabone, u jien se nkun qed insegwu kors ta' taħriġ dwar Wikidata l-ġimgħa d-dieħla. Inżomm dan il-punt li qed issemmi int f'moħħi hekk kif nitgħallem aktar dwar kif jaħdem sew Wikidata. Min jixtieq jingħaqad magħna waqt dan it-taħriġ jista' jsibna hawn kuljum fis-6pm CET bejn 1 u 5 ta' Frar. --ToniSant (d) 12:00, 31 Jannar 2021 (UTC)

Entrati fil-Wikidata
L-entrati fil-Wikidata f'liema stil għandhom ikunu? Xi drabi jkunu bil-kapitali u drabi oħra le. Dawn għandhom iwasslu għal artiklu fil-każ li jkun hemm wieħed, jiġifieri għandhom ikunu fl-istil ta' titlu ta' artiklu?
Grazzi
—Leli Forte (d) 20:50, 10 Frar 2021 (UTC)
- @Leli Forte: Hemm żewġ valuri differenti marbuta ma' dan li qed tistaqsi int: it-tikketta (label) hija dejjem mingħajr kapitali, ħlief meta isem propju. Ara bħala eżempju monument (Q4989906). Il-ħolqa għall-artiklu fil-Wikipedia xi ħaġa differenti mit-tikketta. Din issir, kif qed tgħid int, fl-istil tat-titlu tal-artiklu. Biex tara din ta' monument inżel isfel nett tal-paġna tal-Wikidata, fejn hemm id-dettalji kollha tal-lingwi kollha tal-Wikipedia li fiha jeżisti verżjoni ta' dak l-artiklu. Ara hux niftehmu hekk. Feminism and Folklore team,
Proposal: Set two-letter project shortcuts as alias to project namespace globally
Please help translate to your language
Hello everyone,
I apologize for posting in English. I would like to inform everyone that I created a new global request for comment (GRFC) at Meta Wiki, which may affect your project: m:Requests for comment/Set short project namespace aliases by default globally.
In this GRFC, I propose that two-project shortcuts for project names will become a default alias for the project namespace. For instance, on all Wikipedias, WP will be an alias to the Wikipedia: namespace (and similar for other projects). Full list is available in the GRFC.
This is already the case for Wikivoyages, and many individual projects asked for this alias to be implemented. I believe this makes it easier to access the materials in the project namespace, as well as creating shortcuts like WP:NPOV, as well as helps new projects to use this feature, without having to figure out how to request site configuration changes first.
As far as I can see, Wikipedija currently does not have such an alias set. This means that such an alias will be set for you, if the GRFC is accepted by the global community.
I would like to ask all community members to participate in the request for comment at Meta-Wiki, see m:Requests for comment/Set short project namespace aliases by default globally.
Please feel free to ask me if you have any questions about this proposal.
Best regards,

Art+Feminism 2021 f'Malta
Għar-raba' sena, Malta qed tingħaqad ma' komunitajiet oħra tal-Wikipedia madwar id-dinja biex tiċċelebra n-nisa fl-arti, f'edit-a-tona bil-kollaborazzjoni ta' Wikimedia Community Malta. Din is-sena se jkun hemm aktar attenzjoni għal artiki fuq il-Wikipedija bil-Malti, iżda din l-attività torbot ukoll ma' ħidma dwar artisti nisa Maltin fil-Wikipedia b'lingwi oħra kif ukoll fuq Wikidata.
L-edit-a-toni se jsiru online nhar il-Ħamis 4 ta' Marzu fis-6pm u nhar it-Tnejn 8 ta' Marzu fis-6pm. Tista' tissieħeb (bla ħlas) hawn. Aktar tagħrif fuq is-sit tal-Wikimedia Community Malta. --ToniSant (d) 15:49, 4 Marzu 2021 (UTC)
Pittura ta' Mikiel Anton Vassalli
Ir-ritratt (portrait) ta' Mikiel Anton Vassalli li hemm fuq il-Wikipedia kollha hu fittizju u mhu bbażat fuq xejn. Dan kif immaġinah Raymond Pitrè. Hemm ieħor (riliev) ta' Ċensu Apap li hu wkoll mistħajjel. L-uniku wieħed li forsi fih naqra realtà hu dak ta' Paul Farrugia (ikkommissjonat minn Charles Xuereb) li hu bbażat fuq id-deskrizzjoni ta' Vassalli fuq il-permis de séjour [1] li ntħareġ Pariġi. Charles Xuereb għandu d-drittijiet għal dan ir-ritratt imma jagħtina permess nużawh fuq Wikipedia. [2]
Il-permess hu hawn: [3]

- Tajjeb! Dan il-permess irid jiġi pproċessat permezz tal-hekk imsejjaħ OTRS fuq Commons u mhux b'ħolqa ta' Facebook. Qatt użajtha din? Jien qatt m'użajtha imma b'kumbinazzjoni naf li hekk isir ix-xogħol. -- ToniSant (d) 19:10, 8 Marzu 2021 (UTC)

Improving the translation support for Maltese Wikipedia
Hello!
Apologies as this message is not in your native language, Please help translate to your language.
Content translation has been successful in supporting the translation process on many Wikipedia communities, and we want to help additional wikis with the potential to grow using translation as part of a new initiative.
Content translation facilitates the creation of Wikipedia articles by translating content from other languages. It has been used already to create more than half a million articles. In addition, the tool provides mechanisms to encourage the creation of good quality content, preventing the publication of lightly edited machine translations. In general, our analysis shows that the translations produced are less likely to be deleted than the articles started from scratch.
Maltese Wikipedia editors have used Content translation to create more than One hundred and fifty articles. Given the size of the editing community, we think that there is potential to use translation to create more articles, expand existing ones, and attract new editors that learn how to make productive edits. Translation can help the community to reduce the language gap with other languages and grow the number of editors in a sustainable way. In order to achieve this goal, we want to collaborate with you to make Content translation more visible in the Maltese Wikipedia and support new ways to translate.
As a first step, during the next weeks, we plan to enable Content translation by default on Maltese Wikipedia. That will make it easy for users to discover the tool through several entry points. However, users not interested in translation will still be able to disable it from their preferences.
Please feel free to share any comment in this conversation thread.
Thanks!

- What are the advantages of using this system? Is it better than using Google Translate for instance? Thanks.
- —Leli Forte (d) 10:38, 9 Marzu 2021 (UTC)
- Google Translate is embedded in it as a translation engine, along with other options, which will presumably improve over time. I've used it to translate at least two articles: Fatberg + Venezja. I don't particularly like it or need it but it has its advantages, and well worth trying, unless you've already established an easier way to translate Wikipedia articles. -- ToniSant (d) 14:17, 9 Marzu 2021 (UTC)
Rebbiegħa CEE 2021
L-għaqda voluntarja Wikimedia Community Malta (WCM) qed tistiednek tieħu sehem fit-tieni edizzjoni tal-konkors Rebbiegħa CEE 2021 fuq il-Wikipedija bil-Malti bejn il-21 ta' Marzu u l-20 ta' Ġunju 2021. Matul dan il-perjodu, il-WCM qed torganizza numru ta' edit-a-toni għal min jixtieq jitgħallem aktar dwar kif jinkitbu l-artiklu fuq il-Wikipedija.
Ingħaqad ma' komunitajiet oħra tal-Wikipedia madwar id-dinja biex tittraduċi artikli dwar suġġetti li għandhom x'jaqsmu mal-Ewropa Ċentrali u tal-Lvant. Hemm diversi premjijiet x'jintrebħu f'dan il-konkors. Id-dettalji kollha ssibhom fuq il-paġna Wikipedija:Rebbiegħa CEE 2021 --ToniSant (d) 10:39, 22 Marzu 2021 (UTC)
Mudelli ta' Referenza
Kemm navża li għadni kif lestejt ix-xogħol biex naqilbu għall-mudelli l-ġodda ta' ċitazzjoni. S'issa, għandna dawn il-mudelli:
- Mudell:Ċita aħbar għal artikli mill-aħbarijiet
- Mudell:Ċita enċiklopedija għal daħliet f'enċiklopedija jew dizzjunarju
- Mudell:Ċita konferenza għal artikli minn konferenza
- Mudell:Ċita ktieb għal kotba jew kapitli minn kotba
- Mudell:Ċita rivista għal artikli minn rivisti akkademiċi jew professjonali
- Mudell:Ċita teżi għal teżijiet
- Mudell:Ċita web għal paġni mill-Internet
- Mudell:Ċitazzjoni: mudell ġenerali.
Il-mudelli kollha għandhom xi forma ta' dokumentazzjoni ħafif għal min jimmodifika s-sors tal-artikli, imma jistgħu jintużaw ukoll mill-VisualEditor (kemm miċ-Ċita dropdown manwalment jew awtomatikament, kif ukoll jekk tfittxuhom mid-dropdown Daħħal > Mudell).
Peress li hemm parametri li inbidlu mill-mudelli l-qodma għall-mudelli l-ġodda, dan ifisser li hemm ħafna żbalji fis-sezzjoni tar-referenzi. Qed indur l-artikli kollha u nirranġahom, imma min jixtieq jgħini, merħba bih! Tistgħu taraw eżempju ta' artiklu lest bil-mudelli irranġati hawn: Enċiklopedija.
—Scutajar (d) 15:56, 22 Marzu 2021 (UTC)
- @Scutajar: Grazzi u prosit tassew! Għadni kemm dort l-artiklu dwar Venezja u jkolli ngħid li, għalkemm ftit tedjanti t-tindif, il-mod ta' kif jitnaddfu parametri miksura jew qodma li jidhru bl-aħmar faċli ħafna, speċjalment bl-użu tal-VisualEditor. Inħajjar lil edituri/kontributuri u utenti oħra jipparteċipaw ukoll f'dan it-tindif meta jaraw li hemm bżonnu fuq xi artiklu jew ieħor li jkunu qed jaqraw jew jimmodifikaw. -- ToniSant (d) 19:04, 22 Marzu 2021 (UTC)
@ToniSant: Kemm navża li dawn il-kategoriji: Kategorija:CS1 sorsi bil-lingwa Ingliż (en), Kategorija:CS1 sorsi bil-lingwa Taljan (it), Kategorija:CS1 sorsi bil-lingwa Ġermaniż (de) m'għadhomx validi, u għandhom jinbidlu għal dawn il-kategoriji: Kategorija:Sorsi CS1 bl-Ingliż (en) eċċ. L-artiklu huwa ġġenerat kif suppost issa. —Scutajar (d) 12:26, 31 Marzu 2021 (UTC)
- @Scutajar: grazzi ta' dan l-aġġornament. Apparti hekk, qed naħseb li dawn il-kategoriji jridu jkunu moħbija - i.e. hidden categories jew ossija . Se nara nieħux ħsiebha din fil-proċess ukoll. -- ToniSant (d) 18:33, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Scutajar: Il-kategoriji li ndikajt int li m'għadhomx validi issa tmexxew. Għadni qed nesplora eżatt f'lingwi hemm, imma skoprejt diversi, diġà. Hemm xi lista x'imkien? Fil-proċess ħbejt ukoll dawn il-kategoriji u xi oħrajn assoċjati magħhom...però għad fadal x'jinħeba. Intant ħloqt ukoll sotto-kategorija: Kategorija:Manutenzjoni tar-referenzi. U l-ħidma tkompli, sintendi. Grazzi dejjem! -- ToniSant (d) 09:35, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
Ismijiet tal-Istati Sovrani, Pajjiżi u Territorji fil-Wikidata
Ħadt ħsieb naġġorna l-lista kollha ta' pajjiżi, stati sovrani u territorji fil-Wikidata u żidt deskrizzjoni bil-Malti għalihom kollha.
Żammejt mal-lista uffiċjali tal-Gwida tal-Istil Interistituzzjonali tal-UE (approvata wkoll mill-Kunsill Nazzjonali tal-Ilsien Malti). L-ortografija antika kif ukoll l-ismijiet formali sħaħ inkludejthom fil-kolonna Also Known As.
Ma nafx tistgħux tużaw il-listi aġġornati mill-Wikidata biex jiġu aġġornati l-listi fil-Wikipedija u fil-Kategoriji--Trigcly (d) 19:35, 27 Marzu 2021 (UTC)
- Grazzii ħafna ta' dan ix-xogħol, Trigcly. Biex nużaw dawn il-listi minn Wikidata irridu nimplimentaw il-Listeria. Lista/listi ok naħseb, la darba xi ħadd (forsi jien) fil-kommunità jifhem sew kif taħdem u nidentifikaw eżatt fejn irridiuhom, apparti Pajjiżi tad-dinja. Il-kategoriji, però, iridu jsiru manwalment, sa fejn naf jien. -- ToniSant (d) 08:54, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
Universal Code of Conduct – 2021 consultations
Universal Code of Conduct Phase 2
Please help translate to your language
The Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC) provides a universal baseline of acceptable behavior for the entire Wikimedia movement and all its projects. The project is currently in Phase 2, outlining clear enforcement pathways. You can read more about the whole project on its project page.
Drafting Committee: Call for applications
The Wikimedia Foundation is recruiting volunteers to join a committee to draft how to make the code enforceable. Volunteers on the committee will commit between 2 and 6 hours per week from late April through July and again in October and November. It is important that the committee be diverse and inclusive, and have a range of experiences, including both experienced users and newcomers, and those who have received or responded to, as well as those who have been falsely accused of harassment.
To apply and learn more about the process, see Universal Code of Conduct/Drafting committee.
2021 community consultations: Notice and call for volunteers / translators
From 5 April – 5 May 2021 there will be conversations on many Wikimedia projects about how to enforce the UCoC. We are looking for volunteers to translate key material, as well as to help host consultations on their own languages or projects using suggested key questions. If you are interested in volunteering for either of these roles, please contact us in whatever language you are most comfortable.
To learn more about this work and other conversations taking place, see Universal Code of Conduct/2021 consultations.
Line numbering coming soon to all wikis
From April 15, you can enable line numbering in some wikitext editors - for now in the template namespace, coming to more namespaces soon. This will make it easier to detect line breaks and to refer to a particular line in discussions. These numbers will be shown if you enable the syntax highlighting feature (CodeMirror extension), which is supported in the 2010 and 2017 wikitext editors.
More information can be found on this project page. Everyone is invited to test the feature, and to give feedback on this talk page.
-- Johanna Strodt (WMDE) 15:09, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
Suggested Values
From April 29, it will be possible to suggest values for parameters in templates. Suggested values can be added to TemplateData and will then be shown as a drop-down list in VisualEditor. This allows template users to quickly select an appropriate value. This way, it prevents potential errors and reduces the effort needed to fill the template with values. It will still be possible to fill in values other than the suggested ones.
More information, including the supported parameter types and how to create suggested values: [1] [2]. Everyone is invited to test the feature, and to give feedback on this talk page.

Ħidma ġdida minn qarrejja tal-provi
Bi pjaċir inħabbru li inizjattiva tal-Wikimedia Community Malta biex qarrejja tal-provi biċ-ċertifikat jissieħbu bħala edituri tal-Wikipedija bil-Malti tidher li qed tibda biex tħalli l-frott mixtieq. L-ewwel pass kien li jibdew jitħarrġu edituri ġodda għall-Wikipedija u bil-mod il-mod inkomplu naħdmu flimkien biex intejbu l-kwalità, kif ukoll il-kwantità, ta' artikli fuq il-Wikipedija bil-Malti. It-triq quddiemna hija twila, imma ċertament naslu jekk inkomplu nsibu l-kooperazzjoni ta' aktar nies ġenerużi bħal: Utent:Diegorman10, Utent:Rose Refalo, Utent:Charmaine D'Anastasi, Utent:Amairma, Utent:Db90mt, u Utent:Rmonte1. Editing news 2021 #2
Read this in another language • Subscription list for this multilingual newsletter
Earlier this year, the Editing team ran a large study of the Reply Tool. The main goal was to find out whether the Reply Tool helped newer editors communicate on wiki. The second goal was to see whether the comments that newer editors made using the tool needed to be reverted more frequently than comments newer editors made with the existing wikitext page editor.
The key results were:
- Newer editors who had automatic ("default on") access to the Reply tool were more likely to post a comment on a talk page.
- The comments that newer editors made with the Reply Tool were also less likely to be reverted than the comments that newer editors made with page editing.
These results give the Editing team confidence that the tool is helpful.
Looking ahead
The team is planning to make the Reply tool available to everyone as an opt-out preference in the coming months. This has already happened at the Arabic, Czech, and Hungarian Wikipedias.
The next step is to resolve a technical challenge. Then, they will deploy the Reply tool first to the Wikipedias that participated in the study. After that, they will deploy it, in stages, to the other Wikipedias and all WMF-hosted wikis.
You can turn on "Għodda għad-diskussjoni" in Beta Features now. After you get the Reply tool, you can change your preferences at any time in Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing-discussion.

Server switch
Read this message in another language • Please help translate to your language
The Wikimedia Foundation tests the switch between its first and secondary data centers. This will make sure that Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia wikis can stay online even after a disaster. To make sure everything is working, the Wikimedia Technology department needs to do a planned test. This test will show if they can reliably switch from one data centre to the other. It requires many teams to prepare for the test and to be available to fix any unexpected problems.
Unfortunately, because of some limitations in MediaWiki, all editing must stop while the switch is made. We apologize for this disruption, and we are working to minimize it in the future.
You will be able to read, but not edit, all wikis for a short period of time.
- You will not be able to edit for up to an hour on Tuesday, 29 June 2021. The test will start at 14:00 UTC (07:00 PDT, 10:00 EDT, 15:00 WEST/BST, 16:00 CEST, 19:30 IST, 23:00 JST, and in New Zealand at 02:00 NZST on Wednesday 30 June).
- If you try to edit or save during these times, you will see an error message. We hope that no edits will be lost during these minutes, but we can't guarantee it. If you see the error message, then please wait until everything is back to normal. Then you should be able to save your edit. But, we recommend that you make a copy of your changes first, just in case.
Other effects:
- Background jobs will be slower and some may be dropped. Red links might not be updated as quickly as normal. If you create an article that is already linked somewhere else, the link will stay red longer than usual. Some long-running scripts will have to be stopped.
- There will be code freezes for the week of June 28. Non-essential code deployments will not happen.

-ist jew -ista?
Hemm ħafna varjanti li jispiċċaw b'-ist jew -ista, pjanist/pjanista, ekonomist/ekonomista.... -ist għandha l-vantaġġ li jista' jkollha l-maskil u l-femminil?
Tgħid għandna nagħmlu xi forma ta' standardizzazzjoni bħala "house style" u nużaw waħda minnhom biss kemm jista' jkun?
—Leli Forte (d) 10:27, 17 Lulju 2021 (UTC)
- House style essenzjali li jkollna. Wikidata jagħtina ukoll il-possibilita’ tal-varjanti. Tajjeb naraw il-fehmiet ta’ edituri oħra qabel niddeċiedu. — ToniSant (d) 16:47, 17 Lulju 2021 (UTC)
{{wieġeb Leli Forte}} fil-wikidata tajjeb li jiddaħħlu l-varjanti u fil-wikipedija nistgħu nużaw ir-rindirizzi. Mill-puntdivista tan-newtralità tal-ġeneru, -ista tajba għall-maskil u għall-femminil allura ħsibt li iktar toqgħod mingħajr ma nkunu parzjali favur il-maskil. Però jekk jintgħażel xi stil, inżomm miegħu bla problemi. Deċiżjoni stilistika oħra li tista' tittieħed hija rigward varjanti -at jew -ist (eż. xjenzat/xjentist), -ogu/a jew -ist(a) (eż. arkeologu jew arkeoloġista; ġeologu jew ġeoloġista).
Il-problema l-iktar hija meta ma jkunx hemm qbil bejn l-Ingliż u t-Taljan (eż. statist naraha stramba għaliex bit-Taljan statista u bl-Ingliż statesperson). --Trigcly (d) 06:10, 19 Lulju 2021 (UTC)

Universal Code of Conduct - Enforcement draft guidelines review
Hello all,
The Universal Code of Conduct Phase 2 drafting committee would like comments about the enforcement draft guidelines for the Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC). This review period is planned to begin 17 August 2021.
Community and staff members collaborated to develop these draft guidelines based on consultations, discussions, and research. These guidelines are not final but you can help move the progress forward. Provide comments about these guidelines by 17 October 2021. The committee will be revising the guidelines based upon community input.
Everyone may share comments in a number of places. Facilitators welcome comments in any language on the draft review talk page or by email. Comments can also be shared on talk pages of translations, at local discussions, or during round-table discussions and conversation hours.
There are planned live discussions about the UCoC enforcement draft guidelines:
- Wikimania 2021 session - 16 August @ 11:00 UTC - 11:45 UTC (recording of the session)
- Conversation hours - 24 August, 31 August, 7 September @ 03:00 UTC & 14:00 UTC
- Roundtable calls - 18 September @ 03:00 UTC & 15:00 UTC
The facilitation team supporting this review period hopes to reach a large number of communities. Having a shared understanding is important. If you do not see a conversation happening in your community, please organize a discussion. Facilitators can assist you in setting up the conversations.
Discussions will be summarized and presented to the drafting committee every two weeks. The summaries will be published here.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the draft, the community consultation or the UCoC.
Many thanks! --Civvi (WMF) (d) 16:08, 17 Awwissu 2021 (UTC)
The 2022 Community Wishlist Survey will happen in January
Hello everyone,
We hope all of you are as well and safe as possible during these trying times! We wanted to share some news about a change to the Community Wishlist Survey 2022. We would like to hear your opinions as well.
Summary:
We will be running the Community Wishlist Survey 2022 in January 2022. We need more time to work on the 2021 wishes. We also need time to prepare some changes to the Wishlist 2022. In the meantime, you can use a dedicated sandbox to leave early ideas for the 2022 wishes.
Proposing and wish-fulfillment will happen during the same year
In the past, the Community Tech team has run the Community Wishlist Survey for the following year in November of the prior year. For example, we ran the Wishlist for 2021 in November 2020. That worked well a few years ago. At that time, we used to start working on the Wishlist soon after the results of the voting were published.
However, in 2021, there was a delay between the voting and the time when we could start working on the new wishes. Until July 2021, we were working on wishes from the Wishlist for 2020.
We hope having the Wishlist 2022 in January 2022 will be more intuitive. This will also give us time to fulfill more wishes from the 2021 Wishlist.
Encouraging wider participation from historically excluded communities
We are thinking how to make the Wishlist easier to participate in. We want to support more translations, and encourage under-resourced communities to be more active. We would like to have some time to make these changes.
A new space to talk to us about priorities and wishes not granted yet
We will have gone 365 days without a Wishlist. We encourage you to approach us. We hope to hear from you in the talk page, but we also hope to see you at our bi-monthly Talk to Us meetings! These will be hosted at two different times friendly to time zones around the globe.
We will begin our first meeting September 15th at 23:00 UTC. More details about the agenda and format coming soon!
Brainstorm and draft proposals before the proposal phase
If you have early ideas for wishes, you can use the new Community Wishlist Survey sandbox. This way, you will not forget about these before January 2022. You will be able to come back and refine your ideas. Remember, edits in the sandbox don't count as wishes!
Feedback
- What should we do to improve the Wishlist pages?
- How would you like to use our new sandbox?
- What, if any, risks do you foresee in our decision to change the date of the Wishlist 2022?
- What will help more people participate in the Wishlist 2022?
Answer on the talk page (in any language you prefer) or at our Talk to Us meetings.

Upcoming Call for Feedback about the Board of Trustees elections
- You can find this message translated into additional languages on Meta-wiki.
The Board of Trustees is preparing a call for feedback about the upcoming Board Elections, from January 7 - February 10, 2022.
While details will be finalized the week before the call, we have confirmed at least two questions that will be asked during this call for feedback:
- What is the best way to ensure fair representation of emerging communities among the Board?
- What involvement should candidates have during the election?
While additional questions may be added, the Movement Strategy and Governance team wants to provide time for community members and affiliates to consider and prepare ideas on the confirmed questions before the call opens. We apologize for not having a complete list of questions at this time. The list of questions should only grow by one or two questions. The intention is to not overwhelm the community with requests, but provide notice and welcome feedback on these important questions.
Do you want to help organize local conversation during this Call?
Contact the Movement Strategy and Governance team on Meta, on Telegram, or via email at msgwikimedia.org.
Reach out if you have any questions or concerns. The Movement Strategy and Governance team will be minimally staffed until January 3. Please excuse any delayed response during this time. We also recognize some community members and affiliates are offline during the December holidays. We apologize if our message has reached you while you are on holiday.
Best,
Movement Strategy and Governance
