L-espressjoni perspicaċja tagħha tad-disparità bejn kittieba tal-mużika rġiel u nisa hija fundamentali fix-xogħol ta' Wilmer. Barra minn hekk, Wilmer kitbet artikli bijografiċi dwar mużiċisti Ingliżi Suwed mill-1940 u l-1950 u dwar il-fotografija b’mod konsistenti matul is-snin.
