English: Nadežda Petrović gave the painting as a present to Rihard Jakopič, Slovenian painter, before World War I. Afterward it was in possesion of Dr Jože Ilc of Ljubljana from whom Pavle Beljanski bought it in 1956 and included in his collection. The painting Resnik was among 185 art works Pavle Beljanski bequested to the nation in 1957.

Exhibition history 1959 - National Museum, Belgrade; 1959 - Modern Gallery, Ljubljana; since 1961 - the permanent exhibition of The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection, Novi Sad; 1965 - Cultural Center Belgrade; 1973 - Museum of Contemporary Art, Belgrade; 1985 - The Gallery of Matica Srpska, Novi Sad; 2003 - the exhibition Pavle Beljanski's Collection Here and Abroad, The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection; 2011 - the exhibition The Collection of Pavle Beljanski: Back in Belgrade, Gallery of the Military Club, Belgrade
