Deskrizzjoni

Portrait of John de la Valette, Grand Master of the Knights Hospitaller. He was commander during the Great Siege of Malta and afterwards commissioned the construction of the city of Valetta. He died in 1568 and was buried in St. John's Co-Cathedral in that same city.
